This is a creative writing piece from an english description exercise. No editing allowed.

This sugar-dose is oval like a pillbox with a profile-bust to ornament it. Queen Victoria on my palette, butterscotch royalty. This morsel is an amber keepsake of childhood, encapsulating dust and the baked barefoot at Gramma's house. Warm and golden, like a nursery rhyme of the coffee table- CRUNCH, hard, and all the King's Men couldn't put the candy back together again. Butterscotch is that aged gem left to expire at the bottom of a thrift store purse, a frugal, sepia'd memory.

You should try the same! Eat a piece of candy and write on it for 5 minutes- its an excellent way to develop your style, and if you're not a writer- to identify it!

This past week I've:
-met an Alaskan fisherman with a blue mohawk at a Gogol bordello Concert, where Eugene signed my scalp. Said blue boy and I are still in contact.
-Gone to a GLBT club, invited to an adult one. Kinda sketchy sounding, don't think I'll go.
-Spoken to my new best internet friend on the phone for the first time.
-Met Dina Titus at the Habitat for Humanity building
-Gone to a Chinese Ballet
-Performed with Colonel Bourgeois of the President's Own Marine Band (he's conducted for 9 presidents!)
-Realized I miss everyone.
-Decided to start my life in Chicago.
-Denied an invitation to go to Fashion School.
-Mended with a close friend.
-Gone Vegetarian
-Eaten too many sweets
-Screwed up with my vegetarianism
-Had my G'ment teacher call me a bitch, me flip him off, then proceed to bust into laughter together
-Decided to disenroll from Vancouver Film School.
- Realized I'm finally representing myself.
-Started teaching myself Piano.
- I will approach my own greatness with confidence.
-Decided to be homeless for a day for my project
-Found a focus for my portfolio, addictions/stimulants
-Wanted a shiba dog.
-Been asked to teach oboe lessons.

-Joined film club.
-loved abundantly.
-played French Horn for the first time.
-smiled.

I think we all are gifted a talent that we squander with neglect, the desire for one we don't believe we'll ever have, and one we use but don't enjoy.

What makes you an artist is embracing one of those and making it the expression of your Human.

What have you always wanted to do, but don't think you have the resources/courage/physical skillset for?

I'm curious, but it's also important to identify these to yourself in order to live the deepest. :)

What I have but don't cultivate: Photography
What I want: To love my instrument, whatever it is. To be a Songwriter/Composer/Performer.
One I have that I don't really enjoy: Writing.

I have the capacity to change the world in word, but I'm so goddamn afraid of criticism that I'll neglect it, settle for something else. Something expensive. X_X

If it weren't so personal, it wouldn't matter. Time to step up to fear and do something to what I have to give, naturally. My words. I want to put them to music, but I've never made ANYTHING worth listening, despite 6 years of musical training and theory.

Hello Lovelies!

Shot and Edited this for my friend Rob McCann's new EP, Murder Mile. He's acoustic and emotionally honest, with an extensive technical backround. Meaning=worth your time! In his own words, he sounds like "the best and worst days of your life."

Do you have any suggestions/criticisms? If there was anything you could do to improve this work, what would it be?

Recently I've been nursing a mental environment for myself, above all other priorities. Reading, Listening, Speaking, Listening harder-- a general mental consumption. Synapses a'gnawing, and ever tirelessly speeding tendrils to another mind transmitting. It feels pure, and the more I experience in life, the more I realize that mental stimulation is the meat of it. With the inactivity that is innate within our concrete confines, may I put even MORE emphasis on the importance of motion from the neck up. The verb of do lies primarily in my skull.

With that stated, I hope that my friend and blog-mate Cait will see how much I appreciate the merit of my thoughts and eye! Thanks SO much!

I'm meant to pass this on to 5 other bloggers, but seeing as my blog is so new, I doubt I have enough readers to count on my hand. So what I'll do is save this award for the future- as soon as I find a reader whom deserves it, I'll make sure to hand it out until I've reached my quota.

Aside from being a conceptual photographer, I also humbly associate myself with the description of a Civil Rights Activist. My aim is to convince my Senator and Congresswoman to vote YES! on the Bring America Home Act which would bring affordable housing, a liveable minimum wage, universal health care, and the right to vote to the homeless population of America. I plan to actualize my goal with an art project I recently conceived: I'd like to pass out 25 disposable cameras to single, homeless men (whom in my perceptions are denied the most aid) via a local soup kitchen. I will ask the men to take pictures of their meals, where they sleep, take a self portrait, and photograph their friends, asking them to return the cameras to me in a week's time. Upon the returning of the spent rolls to the soup kitchen, I would develop the prints and make a collage to display at a monthly art festival that receives a respectable amount of publicity. I already have an affiliate with the event who is wiling to give me gallery space and press coverage: All I'm missing is the essentials to begin the project.

Fujifilm, I'd really appreciate a donation of 25 QuickSnap One Time Use cameras in order to begin the process of taking these citizens off of the streets and putting them into Homes of their own. I pledge to send you coverage of the event and a picture of the completed art work, which I will title "The Strong and the Week"(intentional 'misspelling'), as well as display your logo at the gallery with a big fat "Thanks!" Card. You'll get a picture of that, too!

"I wanted to live deep and suck the marrow out of life...if it proved to be mean, then to get the whole and genuine meanness of it... or if it were sublime, to know it by experience.... Our life is frittered away by detail."

We were encapsulating in a 65 mph bullet of appreciation. Crunch! Face wrinkle into a brick wall to add corporeal reminders that "Life is short.. so love the ones you got, 'cuz you may get runover , or you may get shot."

I was already ENJOYing the quality of living and those who made impacts on my day to day- that sense of getting dunked into a vat of ice water that usually accompanies the sleeping had passed over me like the whisp of the reaper's cloak on the cheek of the wind. What I got from this crash was a slam into the arms of everyone I love- I saw who cared for me, saw who I needed to draw closer.

Ryan once said to me,

"Our hesitation on life is where we sleep."

Drowsy with fear. My recent fascination has been the own hesitancy of my own in telling those that I respect and hope to honour most that I care about them. My fear is rooted in rejection- but at this point, the fact that a speeding bullet didn't E-ject me from the passenger seat is enough to tell me how insignificant that fear is.

The opposite of fear is love.

It is absurd of me to associate one with the other.

It's the FIRST amendment for a reason.

I apologize to Cait and the Joi-Opaque project which I've been neglecting as of late- as I don't have the resources to collage, I think I will have to abandon that proposal. I love the work you've done recently, though.

Life comes easy here.

Golden warm through the cats fur on the window sill. Slugs in the bellies of the turtles in the Iris' of our I's. Artistic albums from the speakers in a speeding vessel towards a privilege that my childhood never dictated I'd have.

The basic niceties of our society, "Have a good day", "Take Care" , "Catch you later", "Thanks for stoppin' by", have gained meat here. Fleshy microbes are forming on the bone-frame of my permanent satisfaction. Everyday that entity gorges itself on the sincere interest of strangers, feeding off of smiles of fast-loving friends. Give, give, take. That's the system in these summer parts, these looking-forward people. It's not just Albuquerque. It's getting out of Vegas and the humdrum of a big city. That hometown that's nobody's home for long, where no one has time for you when they're caught up in their rush to nowhere. I'm thrilled to be here- when the security officer at the airport saw my ticket, she rolled her eyes and said "Pfft, have a good time in NEW MEXICO, wink". I want this for all of you, though. Prove her wrong. Have the thrills of your life riding a ski- lift to Oprah's Grocery Store. Take pictures of your toe hair, if that's what suits you.

I've always had a deep seated anxiety about running out of my resources. Call it childhood programming, survival instinct, or preparation for flying the coup, until 4 months ago, it was an appendage of mine. I can now take as many pictures as I want, enjoy my tea even though its the last bag, and stop stocking up everything like its the damned Apocalypse I see on my doorstep rather than the forces cosmic SCREAMING at me to love it all. It's provided me with everything, and for the first time in my life: I have the courage to down that cup of Jasmine, use up every picture on my memory card. After all- pictures are just frames of life caught up in happiness.

For the first time, there's enough to FILL a memory card with.

P.S. A year ago I had a distaste for all but 3 or 4 humans, for perspective.
